Sweet & Sour Crispy Chicken

Saturday, 5 April 2008 04:12 by skhan

Okay girls finally here's "The Most Wanted" recipe for which I have been receiving so many calls from so many girls for the last 2 weeks ! Sorry for the delay its just that recipe didn't have a written title in my mom's diary and we had to make a lot of efforts in finding this very recipe. Btw, in between I and my mom had a fight (oral fight, I mean, obviously!) because we were blaming each other about the missing recipe. I guess I should not stay anymore between you girls and this very recipe so get a good cup of tea and start noting it down.

Ingredients-

For Crispy Chicken-

  • Chicken breast 300 grams
  • Plane Flour 1 cup
  • Corn Flour 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Cold water 1 cup
  • Cooking Oil Tbl spoons
  • Cooking oil for frying

For Sweet & Sour Gravy-

  • Carrot 1
  • Capsicum 1
  • Spring Onion 1
  • Red Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Cooking Oil 3 Tbl spoons
  • Knorr Sweet & Sour Chicken 1 Packet

Directions-

For Crispy Chicken-

  • Cut the chicken in cubes.
  • Take a mixing bowl, add plane flour, corn flour, egg, cold water and oil, mix them well and add the chicken pieces in this mixture. Set this mixture of chicken aside for about 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, deep fry the chicken pieces. Pay special attention while frying, coating must not leave the chicken.
  • Drain the pieces on kitchen towel & set aside.

For Sweet & Sour Gravy-

  • Julian all the vegetables.
  • Take a cooking pan and  add cooking oil. Now add all the vegetables and cook them in the oil.
  • When the vegetables are cooked, add 2 ½ cup of water and Knorr Sweet & Sour Chicken powder.
  • Cook it for about 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Now add fried chicken pieces and tomato. Mix the vegetables & chicken pieces well. Take special care while mixing the pieces, they must not leave their coating and tear apart.
  • Finally Sweet & Sour Crispy Chicken is ready to eat.. Oh I’m already hungry!
  • Enjoy and say me a BIG THANKS :D !
Most Wanted!
Sorry, couldn't find any better photograph.
I took this photograph when my mom cooked it first time.

Creating ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Websites with VS 2008

Saturday, 5 April 2008 00:56 by skhan

One of the best things about VS 2008 is that it supports multi-targeting i.e. targetting different versions of framework v2.0, v3.0 & v3.5. By telling this let me come to the intent of today's post. When you fire up VS 2008, you don't see an option to create an "ASP.NET AJAX-Enabled Web Site" for framework 2.0. The reason being that is VS 2008 does not let you create a Template for ASP.NET AJAX Enabled Website by default. Somehow VS people forgot to add this small yet important thing to the most awaited version of Visual Studio. They shipped "Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Templates for Visual Studio 2008" in mid December 2007 as an add-on

So, now if you want to create ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX-Enabled Website Template in VS 2008, you need to download the following in the specified order.

ASP.NET AJAX 1.0

ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Templates for Visual Studio 2008
